Camo Jacket & Midi Dress | Military Styling #ootd

Camo Jacket - Military Style

When I was asked by Fashion Union if I would like to style an outfit from their current collection in stock online, I obviously jumped at the chance. After browsing possibly every item on their website - www.fashionunion.com - I could not help but add one of their camouflage jackets to my list.

I have been after a camo jacket since they have been a key item for AW12, but thought it was too late to jump onto the military bandwagon in 2013. That was until the weather started getting frosty again and news that camo jackets and camouflage print is set to transition and stay fashionable for SS13: Yay :)

Being the official sponsors of 'Chasing The Saturdays', which follows the British girl band on their journey to chart stardom in the USA - airing Sundays at 10pm on E! Channel - Fashion Union obviously stock a great selection of dresses, with over 300 styles to take you from day to night.

I instantly fell in love with this Black Twist Maxi Dress from Glamorous as soon as I saw the simple detailing of the cut out/twisted feature. Although this is a 'maxi' dress I think it is more of a midi dress length and is the first one I have ever worn.I have to say I am won over by the style and will definitely be adding more midi-dresses to my wardrobe!

Finally I picked a sensible pair of footwear for the cold and un-predictable weather, that include a sensible heel height for a day of raiding the shops in Manchester and stud detailing that give them an extra edge.

These Black Studded Ankle Boots from Fashion Union are surprisingly comfy, as I don't often rock a heel in the day, and would look great with a number of outfits I have in mind for styling them with.

  5. I love this dress. Perfect ammount of skin showing from the 'twist' keeping it classy looking! Also I think if it was anymore skin you wouldn't be able to dress it down for casual wear. Such a great outfit and post!
