Enrapture Amplify Jumbo Waver Review

Enrapture Amplify Jumbo Waver Review
At the weekend, using for the first time, I tested the Amplify Jumbo Waver by Enrapture - for more information visit www.enrapturehair.com (here) - which I kindly received from the PR girls over at Fuel PR. Personally I am a fan of big hair (probably because mine tends to be flat and lifeless) so I was looking forward to hopefully seeing results of big and bouncy waves in my hair!

When my new Amplify Jumbo Waver arrived I eagerly opened the package to find a luxurious purple box which contained the Jumbo Waver, a very handy travel pouch that doubles up as a heat resistant matt to use when styling and a styling guide booklet, courtesy of Enrapture. I think that the packaging adds a note of luxury to this hair styler and will also be great for storing the Amplify Junbo Waver in my wardrobe.

Although the Amplify Jumbo Waver is rather large - which may be a negative for those wanting a hair tool that they can easily pack in their bag or to take on holiday - the Jumbo Waver is surprisingly light. To get the desired beach wave or rock hair effect, the three barrels are needed, hence the size of the styler.

The Amplify Jumbo Waver is sworn by celebrity actress Michelle Keegan, for achieving her sexy, voluminous hair. And she definitely has hair that i would lust after - as well as her tan, figure, face, new boyfriend and pretty much everything!

The Enrapture Amplify Jumbo Waver promises to give you' big, tousled waves' and 'volumised texture' no matter what length you hair is, 'fast, easy styling' and 'instant and long lasting results'. I found the styler very easy to use: clamp on a section of hair near your roots and wait a few seconds, release and then move down your hair and clamp again. Repeating this on sections of hair from root to ends, starting at the back of your hair working forwards.

I would say it probably took me a total of 10 minutes to finishing waving my hair with the Amplify Jumbo Waver from Enrapture. Next  time, as advised in the styling book, I might try straightening my hair first for a more shiny, polished wave. I liked the end result as I thought I had perfect beach waves and would have felt right at home with a surfboard- shame the weather outside wasn't reflecting this!

Another great feature of the Jumbo Waver is that you can choose what temperature to use, depending on your hair type. as I have fine, thin hair I only put the heat dial up 1/4 of the way, and still managed to get great results. So I think that this tool would definitely work on thicker / course hair on a hotter setting.

As for lasting power, my new wave mane managed to last a windy photoshoot - which you can see in my latest camo jacket & military styling outfit post here -  a number of dog walks in a bobble hat and two night's sleep. It pretty much lasted until I washed my hair and managed to give my hair lasting volume.

Below you can see before and after pictures of my first experience creating waves with Enrapture's Amplify Jumbo Waver.

  28. I've been wanting to try this for a while now but I couldn't really justify spending £60 on a tool to wave my hair when it's already wavy! I'm just a sucker for promotions! Your hair looks amazing though! :)
