How To Stay Warm & Sassy This Party Season

Blonde micro rings hair extensions on Charlotte Lewis Fashion Blogger
The party season is creeping up on us and as we approach Winter, who really wants to brave the cold and head out in just an LBD? I for one definitely don’t! So, for those of you who may be stumped at what to wear for a night out, whilst remaining warm. Today’s post is here to save the day from freezing your limbs off on the way to a restaurant or bar. Or, even worse, if you are waiting at a train station platform en route to the city centre! Hopefully this look and simple trick will give you some inspiration on how to incorporate your favourite knitwear into your “going out, out” outfits, to keep warm and look sassy doing so!

Tasked with venturing out the other week in my new LBD from Little Black Dress, I saw the temperature drop to a chilly -2 and realised some layering was in order! To not take away from the glamorous and chic vibe of an LBD I chose to stick with an all black outfit and simply layered my favourite black knitted jumper (from The Fifth) over my dress, which still showed off the feather bottom detailing. Accessorising with a pair of black lace up heels, my Marc B across body bag (both under £35 BTW) and a black boyfriend coat from The Whitepper. I was good to go, after sipping on a quick hot coffee to prep myself for the cold!

In a nutshell. My top tip for keeping warm and staying sassy this party season is:

Layer an all black look over your favourite LBD and take off layers as required!

Due to the rubbish and cold British weather (as mentioned in today’s post) I had to resort to shooting inside at home, which I actually think turned out rather ok? For the foreseeable future, you may be seeing more snippets of outfits in my house, as I also don’t need to rely on having some one handy to take photos either #bloggerproblems. So, I hope that you all don’t mind! I am always trying to progress my blog and photos, so if you have any preference do let me know in the comments below. As always, thank you for reading and have a fabulous week!

This is a really helpful post, Melbourne weather is similar to Britain’s in the sense that it’s completely unreliable! I’m also always cold pretty much no matter what, so layering it a must for me.
