Styling ASOS Mom Denim Shorts

Mother was right about Mom jeans and now she is right about denim shorts as well! Say hello to my ASOS which I stumbled across on Octer, a new mobile shopping app. They are the newly coveted denim short style dubbed ‘Mom’ shorts. As you can guess, this is a shorts version of the much loved Mom jeans, which have been knocking about for a few seasons now. I for one am all for the Mom shorts banter – think comfort and sass without your bum cheeks peeking out the bottom of super short denim.

Sticking to a blue colour scheme, I mixed my light blue denim shorts with contrasting dark navy clothing. Going for a classy/preppy / cool vibe I styled my denim mom shorts with this gorgeous premium blazer from Next, an off the shoulder top from Revolve Clothing and my Topshop mule loafers. Which, I am currently obsessed with as they are so comfy and just seem to go with everything and anything in my wardrobe!

To add a western element, I paired a double buckle western belt, also from ASOS. That is real leather for a pocket-friendly price. With my fabulously fringed tassel bag from In The Style (Get 10% off using CHARLOTTEL10), which has an injection of Chloe Hudson sassiness and is another accessory that is as equally pleasing on your purse strings.

    Have been eyeing up this belt for so long! & have had trouble finding a flatting off the shoulder top, this one looks perfect. Lovely post hun x
