Last week I met with the lovely Lizzy Hadfield – who you may know from the fashion blog Shot From The Street, if not then go and give her a follow or say hello! – to attend a preview of The House of Peroni Presents Amare L’Italia (For The Love of Italy).

After experiencing a popular residency in June this year, ‘The House of Peroni Presents’ is continuing to create cool pop up events around the UK. With a series of drinks masterclasses and food experiences running from the 9th-13th of November this year at Harvey Nichols in Manchester.

Last week I was invited to enjoy the Negroni Experience, a tasting menu of Negroni’s presented five ways, inspired by Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s Master of Mixology Simone Caporale. During the evening we were given a brief introduction to the famous serve, alongside some traditional Italian light bites. Known to the Italians as an Aperitivo: pre-dinner drinks that have taken on their own art form. Aperitivo drinks are often an Italian establishment’s proudest accomplishment and are generally based around traditional aperitifs or fortified wines.

My favourite Negroni from the evening had to be the Peroni Nastro Azzurro Negroni Classico (pictured above). A concoction of gin, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, sweet vermouth and Campari. Which is their classic serve. If this drink intrigues you I would highly recommend attending a The House of Peroni event in Manchester between the 9th-13th of November.

For the love of Negroni

An interactive experience where ticket holders will enjoy a tasting menu of Negronis presented five ways. Created by Simone Caporale, guests will be given a brief introduction to the famous serve, talk through the distinctive flavour notes of the five variants and then will be left to slowly sip on their Negroni of choice in the Brasserie area. Tickets £15 per person. 1 hour session. Available Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 (6pm-7pm, 7pm-8pm, 8pm-9pm)

Enjoy A Private Dining Experience

Created by critically acclaimed chef and Master of Taste, Francesco Mazzei (Sartoria) featuring a five course ‘feasting’ menu will be available on Wednesday 10, Thursday 11 and Friday 12 November from 7pm -10pm, priced at £65 person. The menu will be a delectable homage to Italy and the stunning ingredients unique to the country’s rich landscape. Guests will be invited to sit together and enjoy a wonderful Italian feast, inspired by the family gatherings Francesco grew up with in the southern Italian region of Calabria.

Italian Brunch

On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 November from 11am – 3pm, Francesco’s take on an Italian brunch will be served in the Second Floor Brassiere. Stand out dishes include Purgatorio (spicy baked eggs with njuda), Gratin di Asparagi (gratin of asparagus with duck eggs and Grana Padano), along with the show-stopping Un Colpo All’Italiana – translated as the ‘Italian Job’ – a delicious Italian interpretation on the full English.

For the love of Pasta

An interactive and fun pasta making class which will be led by pasta experts, Burro e Salvia. Each guest will be met with a Piccola bottle on arrival and will learn how to make a number of different fresh Italian pastas from scratch across an hour and a half session. A further bottle of Alta will be provided and guests will be gifted with a box of their creation to take and enjoy at home. Tickets £30 per person.1.5 hour session. Available Wednesday 9, Thursday 10 and Friday 11th of November (6-7.30pm and 8-9.30pm)
