White Trainers: Style Staples

I have forever been a fan of white trainers. Well, to be honest, any style trainer in fact. But they haven’t always been so popular in the fashionista’s domain. I would say it became “socially acceptable” to wear trainers with any outfit around the time that Adidas re-released their Stan Smith trainers in 2014.

Now, I say this lightly, as I for one (as just stated) have always been a fan of wearing the right pair of trainers for any occasion. And I am sure there are like minded people out there.

For some people though, wearing trainers was a big no-no, except for use in the gym or sporting reasons. But, when Victoria Beckham hangs up her beloved heels for a pair of flat trainers, you know that every Tom, Dick and Harry will be jumping on the white trainer bandwagon too.

Now it is the norm to see various trainer styles adorning the runways of the latest designer fashion shows. Plus, we all know how popular and in high demand Yeezy Boosts, Balenciaga Race Runners (hurry some are in stock!), Gucci trainers and Alexander McQueen styles are.

So, if you haven’t been tempted by a pair of white trainers before. Now is the time to add a pair to your Spring / Summer wardrobe.

How To Style White Trainers For Summer

White trainers are your Summer style staple for wearing on a daily basis, packing in your holiday suitcase and for wearing with just about anything in your wardrobe. Seriously, there are no rules when it comes to wearing white trainers in Summer. From suits to dresses, denim skirts, jeans and trousers. You name it, white trainers go with it.

My favourite way to wear white trainers though is paired with denim jeans and a statement top. One of the newest pair of white trainers in my wardrobe is this minimalistic pair called ‘Gomma’, which were kindly sent to me by Nubikk, who create high end accessible designs. Their trainers are classic, stylish and comfortable with a great fit and clean look. They are also made from high quality calf leather with sturdy rubber soles.

It is fair to say that they are the perfect pair of white trainers to go with everything in your wardrobe. To get maximum wear from your white trainers this Summer I would try to go for a pair that is plain as possible, to ensure that logos or coloured accents don’t stop you from wearing them with certain garments in your Summer wardrobe.

Celebrating Your Inner Tom Boy

For years I felt like I didn’t fit in for wearing trainers at every opportunity. If you didn’t know already, I practically lived in Adidas popper track pants and Nike t-shirts when I was younger. But now I needn’t fear about getting any funny looks for hardly wearing heels. I think it comes part in parcel with having size 8/9 feet too! But, you can be sure that you will see more trainer styles making at appearance too, as I am starting to think I have a bit of an addiction!
