The Most Flattering Skinny Jeans For All Body Types

Skinny jeans SOOO Good they deserve a sassy hair flick!

I have forever been one to hate shopping for denim jeans. Which is why I have been living in a ripped knee ASOS pair of jeans for the past two years. And since busting the button on an old River Island denim pair, I have put off even attempting to step into a pair of skinny jeans. The last time I actually attempted a skinny jeans try on session was in Topshop and I had to go two clothes sizes up for them to fit. And although, it is mind over matter, they made me feel like I had gained a whole load of weight just due to a waist number!

*Does anyone else find that Topshop jeans are always super small? And does it put you off to have to buy a bigger dress size than usual?*

Restoring my faith in skinny jeans is Jordache Denim. Who kindly got in touch to ask if I would like to test a pair of their denim jeans. Admittedly I was doubtful at first that the size I ordered would in fact fit. Once my parcel arrived I was proven incorrect that not all brand clothes sizing is wrong. And, I have to admit I did a little jump for joy when they fit me perfectly. But, they still have a great amount of stretch in them and have to be THE MOST COMFORTABLE skinny jeans that I have worn before. As too often skinny jeans can be super uncomfortable around your waist, and not the most flattering on your love handles. This can thankfully be hidden with a sweatshirt or knit in Winter, but alas fails for the summer months.

HOW TO STYLE SKINNY JEANS THIS AUTUMN / WINTER

Speaking of jumpers, my Paisie London knitwear that I styled with my Jordache jeans is fashionable yet practical. I love the slight flared sleeves, side slit and the structure of this knit, alongside the quality. In addition it is soft, comfortable and the most flattering length jumper for all body types when wearing with skinny jeans – that loose just below the crotch length, if you know what I mean!

ANKLE BOOTS ARE YOUR SKINNY JEAN’S BEST FRIEND

Styling your skinny jeans with a pair of ankle boots screams casual chic. You just have to find the perfect height heel and a wide enough lip to be able to fit your skinny jeans into. Here I am wearing a gorgeous suede pair of ankle boots from Daniel Footwear, which have a practical heel that adds some height but isn’t too high. I also love the grid texture for adding another dimension to my outfit: Don’t Cha Think?

Yes to Topshop and their 10 sizes to bloody small jeans! Every damn time I buy from toppers I have to get 1- 2 sizes up. I give in as Topshop jeans are the only jeans that last long and fit how I want them too.

    Great post btw x

      Thanks Michelle πŸ™‚

I know, I always order Topshop online so they don’t fit but I need another try on session in store – prepared I will have to size up – as I do always hear they are good quality. xx

I struggle so much with jeans in all shops. I got some in Zara the other day in a size 10 that fitted perfectly, but after one wash they are baggy. Sigh. I’ll have to check this place out, thank you for the recommendation!

I hate it when that happens! my last pair from Mango did that and I can only wear with a belt. But these are so comfy and and have great stretched! xx

I am obsessed with your coat! So chic! I also found that topshop jeans were wayyyyyy too small! I tend to find the best fit at Madewell for denim!
