Dear Life,

You can be cruel. You can be unforeseen. You catch me off guard when I least expect it. But then, you have the ability to bring out the best in me. Proving that everything happens for a reason.

From the good to the bad. You have thus far taken me on a journey that you have planned out for me, which I am guessing you would call my destiny.

Sometimes I hate you and sometimes I love you.

You have the ability to open my eyes to the wonders of the beautiful world that we live in. To see the best in other people. On these days you make me want to work on myself and to be a better person. To be kinder, to smile more and to love and cherish every moment you share with me.

But you also know how to flip my mood upside down. To bring out my inner negative Nancy, coaxing evil demons to dance on the dark side of my brain. On those days I just want to shut off from the world and hide indoors. When I feel unattractive, unworthy, undeserving and down right miserable.

But through the highs and the lows, you are always by my side.

As we approach our impending 30th anniversary together. I’m taking time out to type this letter to you. To tell you that you have made me stronger, happier, determined and more aware of my self and worth, than I have ever been before.

The roller coaster ride that we have been on together has seen me grow up, get my act together and become a hardworking young woman. Which is one of the many things I have to thank you for.

Thank you life for everything you have thrown at me and we have tackled together so far. For blessing me with a loving family, the best husband I could ask for, my beautiful Lurcher Brody and a handful of close friends that I know I will be able to count on forever.

Here is to owning our sh*t for the next 30 years together and hopefully another 30 after that.

Love,

Charlotte

Stunning look! I absolutely love the bright blouse. Everything you’ve written I am absolutely feeling at the moment, as life is all over the place and I have no clear path. I’m hoping that it all settles soon. xx
