I Love Love. But I don’t love Valentines Day.

Oh how cliche. There are 365 days of the year to say I love you on. So I don’t think you should feel pressured to go out and celebrate your relationship on February the 14th. Or, to feel more single than ever if you aren’t currently in love.

Don’t get me wrong, it would be a lovely gesture to receive a bunch of roses and a box of chocolate hearts. But i’m really not bothered. Nor am I expecting diamonds, big gestures, harps and little flying cupids to celebrate “THE” so called day of love.  Everyday with James is a day of love, as I see it. So, you will most likely find me makeup-less on the sofa in my PJs (no sexy underwear required) with an M&S two can dine dinner and large glass of red wine in hand.

Should I be out and about on Valentines day I won’t be wearing pink, red or a sexy little dress. Instead, I would put on my new favourite PVC pants from Zara with my new Topshop gingham frill top that I have been pretty obsessed with lately (if you hadn’t noticed from my Instagram). Accessorised with my over-worn Gucci GG belt, this cute but seriously cool Radley backpack with some statement hooped earrings from doseofrose.com.

So St. Valentines, I am not crazy in love for you. Or excited that you are soon approaching. If anything, it means I have to go out and buy an obligatory card for James and write a verse of mush to cement our love. Because, I’m surely not in love if I hate Valentines right?
