It feels a little bit late for me to be saying this, seen as though it is February in a few days an all, but happy 2019 everyone! If you have been watching my vlogs over on my YouTube channel, you will know that James and I moved into our new home on the 20th of December. So over Christmas after hosting on the 25th/26th I frantically spent the rest of the time off work trying to sort as much as possible at the house. From January 3rd I have been back in the office and only got around to shooting some beloved street style shots again.

Enough of my life update. I will get into the good stuff and the reason why you clicked on this post: Givenchy street style with Farfetch!

The lovely team over at Farfetch recently got in touch to see if I would like to style up an outfit featuring an item from Givenchy to showcase how their designs aren’t only for the red carpet but can be worn in everyday outfits too. I know that any Givenchy piece is definitely an investment piece for your wardrobe and when spending more money on an individual item you want to make sure that it is right for you.

If you didn’t know, I have a thing for designer handbags and shoes and after falling in love with my Balenciaga Ceinture boots and seeing the difference in quality and craftsmanship compared to a high street pair of leather boots, I knew that I would equally love these buckle ankle boots from Givenchy, which are both timeless and chic. I know already these boots will take a place in my forever wardrobe. I had a dupe pair – see here – two years ago so I know how well they work with outfits but I have to say again I can definitely tell the difference in quality between them and my new Givenchy pair of shoes.

When given the task of browsing through the Givenchy section on Farfetch I, of course, couldn’t make my mind up on one piece, so thought I would give a go at styling this Givenchy logo jumper too. The logo trend is rife on the high street and I couldn’t decide between a hoody or a jumper but thought that for long term wear within my wardrobe that a jumper would be the best bet.

To put my outfit together I used a silk slip dress as a base, these are perfect for layering. And to keep warm from the winter chill I popped on a gorgeous coat from Grace and Oliver that I was kindly gifted. I have literally worn this every day since it arrived. Just like classic boots, I don’t think you can beat classic coats either. As I am now in my thirties I am after trying to build a forever wardrobe of classic pieces that will see me through the years.
